  • I was first introduced to gas chromatography in my schooldays, during a holiday job at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen.
  • I studied at the Isny and Münster Universities of Applied Sciences, focusing on "instrumental analysis", and graduated with distinction with the following dissertation:  "A method for the automatic, of anaesthetic gases in operating theatres".
  • After graduation, I began my career in the sales department and in the application laboratory of Philips AG in Kassel and at Pye Unicam in Cambridge.
  • 1980: Start of my freelance career.
  • 1986: Sworn in as technical expert of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Reutlingen.
  • 1996: As above, at the new location of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in the Northern Black Forest.
  • Since 1998: Several presentations at national and international conferences in the field of analytical chemistry.
